Brookland

Brookland is a  northeast neighborhood in Washington, DC with access to the Brookland-CUA station on the red line of the Metro.  Brookland is home to many of DC’s landmarks including Fort Bunker Hill, Quincy House, Newton Theater and Brooks Mansion.

Although Brookland was mostly Caucasian when it was founded, it is now a very diverse area on Washington, DC.  It is a very stable place to live.  Many famous people have called Brookland home including playwright Jean Kerr, writer Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, and music educator and author Justine Ward whose former Brookland home is now occupied by Ronald McDonald House.

Within Brookland is a corridor that houses many restaurants, bars, shops and other businesses.  Whether you’re looking for an auto mechanic, a veterinarian for your pooch or a local brewery to grab a drink, Brookland has what you need.  There are many projects in the works that are stated to start in 2017 and 2018 to give even more options to the people of Brookland.
